It’s time for another newsletter…

We have new updates (almost too many) and that means another newsletter for you, dear community! It’s bull market vibes and things are moving at lightning speed. And, I can tell you that for this lil’ 12-person team, it has been incredibly busy, exciting, and exhausting. From new chains and tokens to recent integrations of our API, Bebop is growing and we truly think 2024 is going to be THE year. 

So, without further ado, here’s some of the latest from us. 👇

What’s new?

Blast big bang winners. We're thrilled to share that Bebop was among the 47 Big Bang winners selected from over 3000 submissions! 🤯 See full list of winners here. What does this mean for you? Well, this meant that we quickly expanded to Blast L2 (live only 3 hours after the chain was officially launched). Ofc offering you access to Blast memecoins ASAP. It also means that we received Blast Gold Points which will be passed to you, our users (see the Blast Airdrop Program in “What’s on?”). 

Bebop on Blast & zkSync. So, we pivoted everything when we won the Big Bang to immediately deploy on Blast. But, we also launched on zkSync quickly thereafter. Bebop JAM has empowered us to add new chains so quickly. From now on, we plan to be early. 😉

Lido integrated with us! 🤝 Lido has been in the industry for a hot minute so this was a really exciting one for us. If you’re looking for instant unstaking on Lido, Bebop got you. Unblocking crypto with EIP6963. wot? In the last year, we’ve made it our goal to support all of your favorite wallets so that you’re not stuck using MetaMask. But what you may have noticed is that these wallets can sometimes conflict, making multiple wallet extensions difficult to use. ❌ This is what EIP6963 fought to correct. We’re proud to say that Bebop was one of the first to implement this on our platform. Learn more about the campaign at unblockcrypto.org. 

Dencan made gas cheaper. TL;DR - the Dencan upgrade was Ethereum’s most recent hard fork introducing proto-danksharding (EIP-4844) on March 13. Basically, it made gas cheaper (insert blob memes here). Not all L2s have immediately adopted the changes, but you’ll see cheaper network costs on Bebop across Ethereum, Arbitrum, and zkSync. We can’t take credit for this but let’s all just enjoy it.

Bebop partied at ETH Denver. Okay, well, not all of us. But our CEO was there and we hosted a joint party with the best: Wintermute & Wildcat. We’ll also have representation at TOKEN2049 in Dubai this April, so if you’re planning to be there and are interested in meeting our team, reach out to us in Discord or Twitter. Where else should we plan to go this year? Maybe Devcon 2024 in Thailand? 👀 

What’s on?

Blast Airdrop Program: You’ll notice that we’ve launched a new page on Bebop called “Blast Airdrop”. What in the world might that be? Each week we are uncovering what we call “crates” which become unlocked if you trade $25+ on Blast that week. Within the crates, you’ll randomly be allocated Blast Gold, merch, NFTs, or maybe nothing. It’s a game. Come play with us.
